Tips to Combat Dryness
Dryness is one of the most common challenges for curly and textured hair. Unlike straight hair, natural oils from the scalp struggle to travel down the hair shaft, due to the bends and twists in the hair strand.
Curly hair naturally struggles to retain moisture, leaving strands feeling dry, brittle, or prone to breakage.
Environmental factors like heat, humidity, wind, and hard water can also strip away moisture.
Remember to;
Avoid Silicones - Silicones coat the hair but then suffocate it, stop moisture from reaching the strands.
Avoid Alcohols - Harsh alcohols in products have a drying affect on the hair. Often product scents are held using alcohols. Our scent free formulations don't.
Avoid Sulphates - If you struggle with dry curls, avoid sulphates which strip the hair and scalp of the natural oils. They're often too harsh for curls. Our gentle shampoo cleanses without stripping.
