Ingredients You Won't Find
Our Ethos "Ingredients are chosen with one goal in mind to Enhance the health of your hair so it's easier to enjoy If it doesn’t it won’t be included"
Your hair deserves to know what’s going onto it. Our promise runs across the entire range. Below, you’ll find a list of what you WON'T find in our range.
Foaming and pH-adjusting ingredients that can be irritating over time and may disrupt the scalp barrier when used frequently.
Ingredients like Alcohol Denat. that help products dry quickly, but can also dry out the hair itself are not good for curls and coils that naturally need more moisture.
Tiny synthetic particles used for texture or visual effect, but they can build up on the hair and scalp. They are also not kind to the environment.
Heavy ingredients such as Petrolatum that sit on the surface of the hair, which can lead to build-up and make it harder for moisture to get in where curls really need it.
Preservatives like Methylparaben used to keep products fresh, may irritate sensitive scalps. There have been possible links to cancer and whilst there is no definitive medical proof, it is best to avoid.
Chemicals sometimes hidden within “fragrance” that help scents last longer, but have potential hormone disruption concerns and cause scalp sensitivity, irritation & dryness.
Perfumes & scents generally held through alcohols have a drying affect on the hair. We also exclude any scent carrying ingredients like linalool, limonene, citronellol, or geraniol and essential oils that can cause irritation to the scalp.
Smoothing ingredients such as Dimethicone that make hair feel silky at first, but can build up over time, weigh curls down and make it harder for moisture to properly reach the hair.
Strong cleansing ingredients like SLS and SLES that create lots of foam, but can strip out the natural oils curls need, leaving textured hair feeling dry, rough and harder to manage.
