We are working towards being a plastic free business, choosing recycled aluminium with direct to bottle printing to minimise excess waste. Our recycled plastic pumps are the only exception and we recommend they be reused.
Our ingredients are sustainably sourced with full end to end traceability through a female co-operative for our Shea Butter and up-cyled food waste for our sweet almonds.
Our oils are cold pressed for enhanced nutrient benefit and reduced negative environmental impact.

Deep cleansing shampoo
This cleans really well, although personally I don’t feel like it’s a deep cleansing shampoo, it doesn’t leave your hair squeaky clean like some shampoos can. If you need a strong shampoo that feels like paint stripper, you won’t like this shampoo, if however you like a shampoo that will leave your hair clean without being overly drying this is a great option to try.
Curl Styler
This product really surprised me and is quite possibly my favourite styler. I bought this in a bundle and honestly I didn’t expect it to work for my hair, how wrong I was. I don’t know how the curl styler works but it does. My hair is on the edge between waves and curls but it gets really dry when I try to use gels, when I use the styler my hair still feels like hair rather than straw and it’s the only styler I can use on consecutive washdays without my hair feeling like it’s going to snap off. As my hair is medium thickness with a curl pattern on the edge between waves and curls I believed that anything cream like would be too heavy for my hair but somehow this isn’t. I was also worried that it would smell too strong for me as I’m super sensitive to scents and even some fragrance free products are too strong for me just due to their ingredients, luckily there’s virtually no scent.
I’ve relied on gels for years to keep my curls defined, and I've tried countless products trying to find that balance of having hold, but also fluffiness and bounce, without the frizz. I honestly thought this would be impossible to find.
After using the Curl Control Serum, I was amazed to see I’d finally found something that gave me the perfect balance of beautiful definition with a healthy, natural-looking shine, without that heavy, crunchy feel gels usually leave behind, while still holding its shape throughout the day.
Highly recommend this to anyone who wants defined, frizz-free curls without compromising on softness and bounce. Thank you to this amazing brand, I hope all textured and curly-haired people are lucky enough to discover you!
Amazing deep restoring conditioner! This product genuinely made my hair feel so hydrated and nourished, and so easy to brush. My curls were so much healthier post-shower, and I experienced little to no frizz throughout the week (which is rare). Like most people, I have tried so many different products (and have been disappointed) to achieve what this product gave me within the first use.
Customer service is brilliant - the founder, Jessica, is absolutely fantastic! She explained the hair science and carefully helped me pick out the right products for my hair type and concerns. It goes a long way when brands show a genuine care for making sure customers get what they need. Will definitely be getting another one!

I wasn't sure if there was any difference between this shampoo and my regular ones but after having had other shampoos on my head i realised how kind this shampoo is to my scalp. I often find i get a mildly itchy and dry scalp but i have never had that problem with this shampoo, it's so gentle and it's nice not having a shampoo with a strong scent too!
I have curly hair which is very fine, low density but has been coloured for many years! Wanted a conditioner that was lightweight but also could detangle as my current conditioner doest seem up to the job.This has great slip and could tell immediately that it was doing its job. Even when I was applying my stylers, I could still get a brush through my hair and not be up against knots and tangles! Left my hair soft but manageable.
I would also like to say S & P has great customer service! I had to contact them as the pump I had purchased didn’t fit the bottle. Jessica, the Founder & Chief Curl Officer, sorted me out and I received another pump and bottle within 48 hours!
These products are incredible. Like most people with curly hair I’ve tried dozens of products over the years and been left disappointed and with a cupboard full of bottles. Not any more! I’ve used the shampoo, conditioner, curl styler (and afro butter for in between wash refresh) exclusively for the past two years and my hair feels wonderful. My curls are glossy and defined, nourished and healthy. I can’t praise Shedid and Parrish enough.
I’ve tried lots of Afro products, as my hair can be quite dry and difficult to style but I’ve never found anything as good as this.
Not too heavy, and leaves hair defined and soft! Good natural scent unlike a lot of Afro products.

I was previously gifted these products and have used them on my daughter since aged 6 months. I switched to another product and it was very noticeable her hair was so dry and no curl pattern. Once we switched back first wash I saw the difference even in between washes her hair stays soft with help from the Afro butter. Never switching again.

My hair feels so much better since I started using Sheddid and Parish !I am obsessed with the Afro butter and curl styler is also going to stay part of my thick curly hair routine …May I just say that your products also work fabulously well on straight hair ….I only “embrace my mad curls on holiday “ blow drying into straighter style the rest of the time …Adding Afro butter ,curl styler or your serum mid week to the ends helps keep my mane souple and frizz free ! 😀Brilliant product I got my daughter hooked on too….
